After the initial jump we recommend charging your battery at your mechanics shop as the vehicle may fail to start again if the battery is very low.

Car Unlocking Services

We have experience with unlocking almost every make and model of car. Don’t risk damaging your door locking mechanism; call us for road side assistance. All our delta tow truck drivers are equipped with unlocking kits that include a power wedge, air bag and long tool. We will have your door unlocked in a matter of minutes without any damage.

What to expect when you phone for car unlocking services.
Once our tow truck driver arrives at your location they will start by wedging the front door open slightly with a tool called a power wedge. They will then slip in a small air bag that is carefully pumped up to expand and prop the door open very slightly. Then a long tool is slipped in the doors crack and used to reach either the power lock, power window, or door handle. All three options will give us access to the car and get you back on the road quickly without any damage to the vehicle.

The car unlocking kit will not work on all vehicle makes and models so be sure to give your vehicles details to the tow truck driver or dispatch worker when on the phone. Alternative unlocking methods may be used in these situations. Our drivers are experienced with all types of vehicles and know the best approach for each make and model.

Vehicle Over Heating Assistance

Minor Mechanical Work and Diagnosis

Vehicles tend to overheat in hot weather, especially older vehicles that do not have all the bells and whistles to take care or signal you with warning signs.

You can usually tell when your vehicle is overheating because you will see fume stacks eliminating from your hood. If this happens pull over to safe area and immediately turn off your engine. However, if signs can be caught early on, like in a newer vehicle with temperature gauges, to decrease the load on your engine you can shut off your air conditioner and open your windows.

If that doesn’t do the trick, turn on your heater and blower, this will draw in the heat from the engine to the passenger compartment of the vehicle. If you are at a light or in traffic, shift to neutral or park and rev the engine, his will make the water pump and fan speed up drawing more liquid through the radiator. However, as mentioned earlier, if your vehicle is about to boil over or you see major fume stacks, pull over immediately and turn off the engine.

In more desperate situations, water can be slowly added while the engine is running, in neutral or in park to the water overflow. More often than not, if the weather is not extreme heat, the cause will be a leak in the cooling system or the water and coolant level in the radiator is low. Call Towing Delta and we will get you to where you need for professional mechanical service.
